MERHABA is good for HI,
GULE GULE means goodbye.
GEL is come and GiT is go,
EVET's yes and HAYIR's no.
OKUL is school, EV is house,
KEDi's cat and FARE's mouse.
KOPRU's bridge and KOPEK's dog
SiS is just the Bosporus fog.
GÖZ is eye and YÜZ is face,
MAHAL's just another place.
BEZELYE is the word for peas,
FASULYA's beans and LÜTFEN's please.
SÜT is milk and BUZ is ice,
ÇOK GÜZEL means very nice.
HOS GELDiNiZ is welcome dear,
ZARAR YOK means never fear.
MASA's table, MEKTUP's note,
PALTO means an overcoat,
KALEM's pencil, KiTAP's book,
YAZ means write and BAK means look.
HASTAYIM says I am ill,
While HESAP VER says give me the bill.
KAPI's door and also gate,
ERKEN's early, GEÇ is late.
We is BiZ and I is BEN,
ELBiSE are the clothes you don,
While ÜSTÜNDE means simply on;
And ON means ten while iKi's two,
And ALTI's six while AZ means few.
TiYATRO means --- but you can guess,
FiSTAN is a lady's dress.
KADIN's lady, ADAM's man,
YEMEK's food and KUTU's can.
ADAMLAR is lots of men,
And SiNEMA means --- guess again.
Tray is TEPSi, meat is ET,
How much simpler can you get?
KIZ is girl and OĞLAN's boy,
HOSLANMAK means to enjoy.
YASTIK's pillow, YATAK's bed,
MEYVE's fruit and EKMEK's bread.
Road is SOKAK, and tower's HiSAR.
YAKIN's near and UZAK's far.
iYi's good and FENA's bad,
ÇOK HAZiN means very sad.
BOZUK means it's broken down.
And ŞEHiRE means into town.
BiR means one and BiRA's beer,
MANTAR's cork and KORKU's fear.
If you see the moon on high,
You can sing our, "There's the AY!"
